Church outfits for men: smart Sundays made easy

For most churches in Ghana, a collared shirt, tailored trousers or chinos and leather shoes is the minimum. Many congregations dress further up with suits or traditional wear, especially on special Sundays, Easter, harvest and Christmas. When unsure, go one step smarter than you think you need.

What do I wear to church if I don't own a suit?

Should I wear a tie?
In formal churches and on special Sundays, yes. In relaxed churches, an open collar is fine.
What about Easter, harvest and Christmas?
